Rubios on the Road ed 4
Bridgewater City Park
We called it a “wild ride Wednesday” and surprised the littles with a new park. Even though Bridgewater has garnered a rough reputation in the last few years we decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the park was today. And relatively quiet - wasn’t worried about crazy drivers as both parks are off the main road.

B’s boyfriend came along and the speed of the swings and merry go round were excessively increased! The littles loved it! There was a new contraption the 5’s liked - similar to a tire swing but only one person sits on and spins/swings themselves. They didn’t love the chain ladder but the twirly slide (while deemed safe by B as she insisted on going first!) was well used. And always the favorite the bouncy animals - here is a lion and a horse!

Mom liked the adult swing except the bouncy animals are behind me. There are bathrooms at the top of the hill and three covered patios with picnic tables.

As we drove out someone spotted what used to be the school playground and is now the home of the Bridgewater Community Center. We were unsure if we could play but tried it out anyway...so if we aren’t supposed to we are sorry!
This park received rave reviews from the little people. “Mommy mommy look it has FOUR slides!!” But...shortly after arriving someone had to potty...even though I asked when we left the other park. When I said we’d have to leave to potty it wasn’t an urgent issue. We learned the tunnel slide is “super fast” and the steering wheel is how you drive “this big ship!” There is a place to “walk the plank” but no one wanted to try the monkey bars as they’re so high. The wobbly bridge was fun though! There are also sand diggers and some high flying fun for bigger kids! And a picnic table under the tree.

We decided to venture around Mormon Trail Lake on the way home. low and behold...another park! This one was a bit of a scenic drive to get to but is in a great area! The play set seems pretty new and is in great condition.

To get to this you go by the campground and pass the trap shooting area. There is a covered patio area with picnic tables so would make a great family party spot with lots of kids. Bonus find is bathrooms well hidden by the tree bush things.

I strongly suggest sunscreen and bug spray if this park is on your agenda - it is by the lake and the play structure is not under much shade. We also need snacks normally & these are my go-to; easy delivery too!
