So I'm over Easter Egg Hunts!?!?! Just Kidding! But seriously one of our Easter gatherings is in the evening on Saturday - Our yard is gigantic, but - it might be dark out after supper - and I'm not sure if any "Easter Bunnies" will be around to lay eggs....
I scoured Pinterest for ideas and found some adorable games on Oriental Trading's page.
But - I don't have time for shipping!?!?
2nd idea - Make my own! Super simple!!!
Bought red plastic cups - tissue paper - variety of little things at Dollar Tree! (punch balls, bubbles, bead necklaces, mini notebooks, sparkle pens, craft dough, etc.)
I used a fabulous box I found from a prior order! My original plan was to fit the cups in the shape of an egg inside the box - but - I counted the number of kids (my 5 + 2 nephews + 1 great niece & then 2 maybe's due to age) the game wasn't big enough for all of them to have a decent times they could go - so I added more...I'm always a fan of more is better than not enough.
I just put 1 little "surprise" in a cup - cut the tissue paper into 4th's and used 1/4th to cover the top of the cup - taped the paper down around the cup - fairly tight so it'll rip easily for little hands to find their surprise & then laid the cups out on the cardboard - once I had the design I liked, I put 2 dots of hot glue on the bottom of the cup & stuck it to the cardboard! I had to be careful though because if the tip of the hot glue gun touched the cup it melted! OOPS!!!
Final product :) I'm hoping the kiddos will enjoy :)

Pretty sure I didn't spend anymore on this fun game than I would've spent on having an Easter Egg Hunt too!!
