Rubio’s on the Road ed. 2 Nodaway Lake Park/Campgrounds
Doing double today!!! Much to the disappointment of the children I refuse to haul the camper and all our things a few short blocks for the weekend. However, we do stop to play sometimes. This park has SO many things to do.
I’m told the fishing is great, (Hubby really loves his UglyStik that I got him for Father's Day last year!!!) and there is a nice horseshoe campground with electric hookups.
In the middle is a play set with a tunnel slide, swings, a large grassy area great for impromptu soccer or softball games, and a bath house that doubles as a storm shelter.

According to the kids the slide is “the best in town” cuz all of them fit in it! Mom’s favorite part is the close bathrooms and how much safer it is without so many access points. The shelter is available for larger groups to party and the kids can play. I’ve been to graduation receptions and birthday bbq’s here. The city guys keep it mowed and there are many great photo opportunities for your budding artists!
