Good evening friends! I don't know about you but I am over this winter! Over this weather! Over the snow!!! Days like today bring me back to the good days! The kiddos wanted to go help daddy - I did my chores - darn cold froze all my eggs again... but alas supper still has to go on! I had the opportunity to make supper in a quiet kitchen about halfway through cooking.

These are the memories I pray our littles will think back on the memories from today.

I was reminiscing with Grandma Baudler last week. I remember a snow storm from when I was young. We lost electricity at our house and "moved" by tractor to their house. I was talking with grandma about remembering the snow drifts going up to the top rail of the red gate that we weren't allowed to climb on. And I remembered that she had fabric paint - I'm pretty sure this was the 1st time I had ever used them. I painted a pillowcase and another scrap of fabric with this. My mom still has that snowman scrap of fabric framed and displays it each Christmas season.

I think back to those memories and the warm fuzzies of being a kid, playing in the barn, and doing crafts with my grandma all came streaming back to me. I could go on and on of my warm fuzzy memories of growing up on the farm. This winter is the first one I can remember in a few years that snowmobilers have had a chance to get the sleds out more than once. I remember riding one with Doug Holliday as a kid...

These are the reasons I am so happy and blessed to be able to raise our children on the farm.
