Hey all! As we did last year we are going to share snipits of our lives in Adair County, Iowa! Let me tell you this is a fabulous place to live and raise our family. Over the weeks and months especially of the summer we will be having mini-stay-cations!

To kick-off our posts this year I am going to share one of my favorite places in town!!! Tiger Drive In!!! This business has been open on the southwest corner of Greenfield for as long as I can remember! It is less than a block off the intersection of Highways 25 & 92! So even if you're just passing through it won't take any longer to grab a bite there than at Casey's!

The (Dave & Kendalyn) Huff family are the current owners and the manager is none other than their very own daughter Katie Huff! The daily lunch specials during the week are homemade!!! Fried chicken Tuesdays! Hamball Wednesdays!!! Hello it doesn't get much better than that!! Katie even makes homemade pies on occasion too :)

If you're a regular for lunch specials make sure to sign up for the Blend Card! I think it's 10 specials = a free lunch special & when you activate the card you get a free Tiger Twister! (think DQ blizzard but better!)

Anyhow! We have been frequent diners lately because of graduation of our oldest I have done a terrible job preparing for easy to eat foods on the busy nights. Just yesterday - I painted the attic to bedroom project pretty much all day long ugh! and Hubby was working outside picking up branches & doing other normal life stuff on the farm. So come 5ish we had hungry kids & nothing thawed out....everyone had been working hard, so off to town we went! Where can you feed kids for $4.75? At the Tiger Drive In, of course! Corndogs, hotdogs, burgers & fries with drink! Hubby & I like the bacon cheese burgers -- he gets chili cheese fries & I prefer the sweet potato fries! Plus a cake shake because hello! It's an ice cream store!!!

If this isn't a fabulous place to stop on these hot Spring/Summer days I don't know what is! Meals & Sweet Treats! (Oh by the way - brownie sundae!!! Hello deliciousness!)

Katie also staffs the drive in with a plethora of high schoolers! The Tiger Drive In supports our local school and community events too!
