What do you want?

As I ponder the ending of 2021 and the new beginning of 2022 it makes me wonder..."What do you want?"

I don't mean me, myself, and I. I am talking about my family, friends, and community members. I really want to be a farm that can provide all the wants for our community, but I need to know what those wants are.

Do you want a local pick your own pumpkin patch? Do you want locally grown fruits, vegetables, and meat? Do you want pick your own or a roadside stand or a weekly market? What fits with your schedule and desires? We want to fit your needs!

I'm sure most people reading this are thinking whatever matters - but here's what I'm here to tell you. It matters that the producers know what you want. We are here to provide for you. If the consumer doesn't have a need or want for our products then we are just wasting our time.

Do you have freezer space for a large purchase of meat? We can sell animals by quarters, halves, and wholes. Or do you need smaller amounts such as meat boxes - example 8 beef burgers with 2 broiler chickens and 2 lambchops.

Do you want to know our live inventory and you can order online with delivery for your convenience or do you want a standing order of 4 beef burgers and one broiler chicken every other week?

Do you need firewood or baked goods? Do you want a variety pack of snacks?

These are things we offer and can do, but if no one needs or wants them what's the use. This is why producers need to know what the customer wants.

I am here to tell you that we have all these local resources! We want to provide things for our community. Yes, sure I can drive to Madison County Farmer's Market May to October, but I would rather sell to my own community. I want to be an asset to our community.

I know that summer 2021 here on the farm was a hot mess. I didn't get time in the garden; the weather killed it a couple times, then the kids and goats. I threw in the towel - dropped off the City Park Market and then later on the chickens even went on strike - I have a freezer full of broiler chickens because I dropped another ball selling them...

I want 2022 to be the year that we make the consumers happy! Please leave any feedback you have - send an email if you'd rather - I want to make 2022 the best year ever!

Hopefully these holidays and the new year will shine on your favor whatever that looks like to you!

See you all in 2022! May God Bless you and keep you!

Christine, Robert and crewe
